OK we admit it, the Taste Traders team are a little biased here, as one of the Taste Traders founders was a student at Wye College, in Kent – home to The Wooden Spoon and their outstanding collection of preserves. These are lovingly prepared by hand in an old oast house – so it doesn’t get more Kentish than that!
One of the traditions of Wye was the Summer “Commemoration Ball” held on the Friday after exam results where Wye Strawberries & Cream were always served at the end of a riotous meal!
This Wye Strawberry Extra Jam is packed with delicious Kentish strawberries and understandably is one of the best sellers in their range. Try it with scones and clotted cream for a sensational Afternoon Tea.

If you live in Kent you can visit The Wooden Spoon shop in Wye, near Ashford, and view the preserves being made. The shop is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. The Wooden Spoon also have a stall at the Wye Farmers Market held every 1st and 3rd Saturday morning of the month next to the College Green in Wye.
